Interview : Ifham Khan from Mashdesigning (Logo Designer)

If you are in Blogging then you must have heard about Ifham Khan. why I am saying so ? Because he is one of the rising logo designer whose designed logos are shining at the headers of many big blogs. Even our logo Blogging Cage is also designed by him. I know him from a long time but how quickly he is rising that is very appreciable. In such a short span of time this man has proved himself and making blogging community more attractive with his creative logo designs.

I got the chance to ask some questions from him.  So here is the full conversation between us !!

  1. Tell us about you

Ans: My name is Ifham khan, basically a Engineering student, but also a Graphic and a Logo Designer. Started freelancing back three months. A future Software engineer. An Anchor, who host Local programs, a guy who always try to learn something new every time. A hardcore fan Photoshop, And had a plan to become Photographer.

  1. What is your basic qualification

Ans: I just completed my 12th grade Exam, and had taken admission in IT Engineering to become a software engineer, as I always dream to create softwares. Apart from these official qualification. I also completed my abacus Mind development course from Mumbai.

  1. How you came into Blogging

Ans: Blogging is always my dream, but very frankly, I didn’t know the exact meaning of blogging when I started my first website (ifham.weebly.com) in 2006 which was hosted in weebly.com, and really I learn many things from my website. Then I started my custom domain blog (Geekspalace.com) with my friends who all are my classmates. But later it was sold due to some issue’s. Again I started my designing website, which gave me zero orders per month, so I decided to make it a branded designing blog and now Its running well. Actually I inspired by my father, who is also a writer in many major newspapers.

  1. How much experience you have in coding

Ans: Coding? Oh my god, I am noob in coding and the funny thing is I am going to become a software engineering, well I know basic HTML very well, which I learn in my school days.

  1. How much time you spend for Learning

Ans: I am really a keen learner but only on which I have interest not my college subjects. I learn almost 3-4 hour daily, which is related to designing, and how to become a professional Logo designer icon razz Interview : Ifham Khan from Mashdesigning (Logo Designer)

  1. Which websites are your source of inspiration

Ans: No I don’t use any site for inspiration, but I always visit google Images to cross check the designs I create. But as for other designer, I recommend to visit logopond.com, for inspiration of Logos. Also a designer should not be exist in online, he/she can visit different offline places like Malls, shopping centre, Railway stations to get inspiration as there are lots of designs are available in the form of advertise.

  1. In your words what is the benefit of a website

Ans: A website or blog is a backbone of a freelance designer, I have written an article Why Freelance Designer should have a blog? In my opinion every designer or freelancer should have blog to reach new people and clients too.

  1. How people react when they know you are a blogger

Ans: They say blogger, what does it means?, again I have to spend my 30 minutes to explain what is blogger (:D) but when I visit professional meet ups, They just don’t believe, really you are a blogger? And they even more shocked when I told them that I am a logo designer.

  1. How much money you earn via freelancing

Ans: Hmmm! This question is asked by many of my friends and people still asking. So, I don’t want to reveal the exact amount, for your idea, I can buy every month a brand new Laptop with 2-3 cell phones.

  1. For you what does customer means

Ans: For me customer means, my designing career, Because without customer I am nothing. And as logo designing is one of the most competitive field in designing, its very hard to catch new customers every time. But you can get more and more clients with some simple logic, discipline and professionality

  1. What are your future plans

Ans: Wants to become one of the top Logo Designer, I mean people recommend me when it comes to Logo design.
